Our toddler (0 - 3 years old) class uses 'Gospel Light's Baby Beginnings' curriculum (www.gospellight.com). Every month the children, together with their parents, are encouraged to explore different themes. Themes such as ‘God made me’, ‘God cares for me’, ‘God made friends’, ‘Jesus loves me’ and much more. The class runs for 45 minutes from 2.15 pm to 3 pm. This is so that the parents can listen to the sermon from the baby's room whilst the children can play with their friends under parental/teacher supervision. The aim of conducting classes for toddlers is to introduce children about God, His only son Jesus Christ and the church community. We hope that we can build a feeling of security in the children when they are in church. July Update (updated on July 19, 2010):

In the month of June the children learnt about how God cares for them. The Bible story was taken from Matthew 6: 28-32 about Jesus who taught His disciples and lots of people to not worry about their lives, not worry about what to eat or to drink or what to wear because God provides for all of them. Jesus said, “Look at the pretty flowers, God makes them grow. God made the flowers and God made you too. God loves you even more than the flowers.” The children learnt by knowing everything that surrounds them; flowers, animals, foods, families, people in the church are some of the example of God’s love and care for them.

This month the children will learn that God made them. The material will be based on Psalm 95: 3 to 7, that God made everything. We will learn that each of our body parts is made by God. The activities will focus on teaching the children to use their body parts. We will also learn about our five senses and play with colors. By the end of the month, we pray the children will have learned that they are made by God and they are glad for their body.
